Overview
Dubverse dubs video into other languages, generates synced subtitles and produces standalone AI voiceovers, across 32 languages with a strong weighting towards Indian ones alongside the usual European and Asian set. Work happens in a browser studio where the translated script can be edited before the voices are rendered, with GPT-3.5 translations on the Pro plan and GPT-4 on Supreme; custom subtitle styling and the full studio also sit on Supreme, while multi-speaker handling, lip sync and human review are reserved for Enterprise. Voice cloning builds a branded voice that carries across the supported languages and is available from Supreme upwards. Separately from the dubbing product there is a text-to-speech API aimed at chatbots, assistants and applications: around 400 ms latency, 128 kbps audio, automatic language detection, audio streaming for long-form output and access to more than 500 speakers. Plans are metered in credits, with one minute of dubbing costing four credits, subtitling one and AI voice generation two.
Best for publishers dubbing into Indian and other Asian languages, or developers who need a fast text-to-speech API.
Dubverse answers two different needs from one account, and which one you have decides whether the pricing looks cheap or awkward. As a dubbing tool it is aimed squarely at reaching audiences the larger Western platforms treat as an afterthought, and the entry price is low enough to test a channel rather than commit to a localization programme. As a speech backend it competes on latency instead, and that side is sold on the credit meter rather than the plan features. The catch is where the serious dubbing features sit: anything with more than one person on camera needs the Enterprise tier, which puts a plain interview outside both self-serve plans. Watch the credit maths too, because fifty credits buy about twelve minutes of dubbing a month.
