Overview

Framer is a browser-based tool for designing and publishing websites. Pages are drawn on a design canvas with layers, breakpoints, typography and animation controls, and the same file is what goes live: Framer hosts the published site on its own subdomain or a custom one, with a CMS, SEO settings and analytics included. Its AI agents take a written brief and produce pages, sections, copy and visuals that stay editable on the canvas afterwards, and they can also build code components. A marketplace supplies templates, plugins, components and vectors. For developers there is a Server API for automating publishing, a Plugin API that reaches into the editor and CMS, a Fetch API for building custom endpoints, and React code components with visual controls. Plans are sold per published site and start with a free tier on a Framer subdomain; editor seats are charged on top.
