Overview

Boomy generates original songs from a chosen Style rather than from a written prompt. Founded in 2019, it asks for a Style (Electronic Dance, Rap Beats, Lo-Fi, Global Groove, Relaxing Meditation, Experimental or Custom), returns several song options, and lets each one be rejected, saved or customised. Customisation works on the parts of the track: instrument groups and individual instruments, drum kits, harmonics, mixing presets that change EQ, reverb and compression, tempo and density on the Custom style, a Sound Effects option that layers non-musical elements such as jungle or wave sounds, and a Rewrite option. Vocals come either from Auto Vocals, which generates vocal lines from a short audio phrase you upload or record, or from Custom Vocals, where you sing or rap over the song yourself; only your own voice or your own music may be uploaded. Finished tracks can be grouped into a Release of up to 25 songs, and a separate Dolby remastering service masters a track for 9.99 dollars. Downloads and full commercial rights come with the paid Creator and Pro memberships; Boomy no longer distributes releases itself, so a distributor of your choice handles streaming platforms.

Boomy is built for someone who wants a finished track without writing a prompt or reading a manual, and the Style-first flow is the whole argument: the first song arrives in seconds and the editing happens afterwards, on parts that are already there. That also marks its limit. There is no lyric writing and no text-to-song, so a track with words needs either a voice you record yourself or a generated vocal line built from a sample, and neither is the same thing as asking for a chorus. The licensing deserves a careful read before any commercial plan: Boomy keeps the copyright by default, and the full commercial rights attach to songs downloaded while a paid membership is active.
