Overview
eMastered is a browser-based mastering service for finished music. A stereo mix is uploaded as WAV, AIFF or MP3 and comes back mastered; the engine works on the complete mix rather than on stems or tracked-out files, so mixing has to be done before upload. A 20-second preview plays free before any payment. Reference mastering matches the master to another track supplied as a high-resolution file of at least 320 kbps, with purchases from iTunes, Amazon Music or Beatport named as suitable sources. Alongside the mastering engine the subscription carries Stemify, which splits a WAV or MP3 into six stems (vocals, drums, guitars, bass, piano and other) for download as MP3 or WAV; unlimited distribution of singles, EPs and albums to major streaming and download platforms; the ATOM synthesizer as a VST, AU and AAX plugin; and Linkify, a link-in-bio page. Every plan carries the same features and differs only in how it is billed: $49 a month with no commitment, $19 a month on a twelve-month commitment, or $156 paid once for twelve months. A 14-day refund applies while fewer than four tracks have been mastered.
Best for independent artists who master and release music regularly and want both in one subscription.
eMastered suits an independent artist who releases regularly and wants the whole path from finished mix to streaming platforms under one bill. Because every plan carries the same features and only the commitment changes, the pricing rewards anyone who is sure they will keep releasing and punishes anyone who is not: the no-commitment rate is more than double the annual one. The engine also expects a mix that is already done, so it sits at the end of a workflow rather than inside it, and there is no ongoing free tier, only a short preview before the card comes out. Anyone who needs to repair a damaged recording, rather than finish a clean one, is looking at the wrong kind of tool.
