Memtime is an automatic time tracking program from Memtime GmbH in Germany that runs on the desktop and records what a computer is used for without timers or manual entry. It captures activity across programs, documents, emails and browser tabs and lays it out as a timeline in 5 or 6 minute intervals, so a past day can be reconstructed and assigned to projects afterwards. Calls through Zoom, Microsoft Teams, RingCentral and Sipgate can be tracked as well, and calendars from Google, Microsoft, iCloud, macOS and CalDAV sync in. Billing does not happen in the app: entries are exported or pushed into more than 100 project, accounting and time tracking tools, among them Asana, Jira, ClickUp, Wrike, Harvest, Clockify, Toggl Track, QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks and Zoho Books. The apps run on Windows, macOS and Linux, including Windows Server, and the tracking data stays on each user's own device rather than on a company server.
