Productboard earns its keep when the hard part is deciding what to build rather than tracking who is building it, and a team drowning in requests from sales, support and app stores gets a defensible answer out of it. The corollary is that it is half a system by design: engineering work still lives in Jira or its equivalent, so this runs alongside a delivery tool instead of replacing one, and two tools mean two sets of seats to justify. The plan boundaries are worth reading closely, because makers and AI credits are what they actually meter, and the free plan's note ceiling arrives sooner than it sounds.
