Overview

Kaedim turns 2D input such as sketches, reference packs and product photos into production-ready 3D assets, aimed at game studios rather than hobbyists. What sets it apart is a human quality-review step: each asset is checked and can be marked up, compared and revised through an approval workflow, so turnaround takes hours rather than the seconds of fully automatic tools. Output comes with full ownership and commercial rights, and Kaedim states that customer work is not used to train its models. It is a monthly subscription metered in credits.

Our take

The trade here is speed for certainty. A studio that would otherwise send concept art to an outsourcing partner gets something close to that arrangement, with an approval loop in the middle, rather than a generator that hands back a mesh in seconds. That fits a team working to a defined art bar on a schedule measured in days, and fits a hobbyist or a quick prototype badly, since the cheapest way in is a paid trial that rolls straight into a monthly plan. Client work is the other natural fit, since the rights position is settled before anything ships.

Pros and Cons

Strengths

  • Production-grade output with human QA
  • A human reviews every asset before delivery
  • Good concept-art-to-3D

Limitations

  • No free tier and no free credits; even the seven-day trial is paid and renews into a monthly plan
  • Plans are metered in credits, so a heavier month means a larger plan or a quote
  • Slower due to the human review step

How we check reviews

Before sending, the author has to confirm three things: that they have used the product themselves, that they work neither for the vendor nor for a competitor, and that nobody is paying them for the review. We also ask whether the vendor invited them to write it. That answer is required, either answer is accepted, and it stays with the review.

Every review is read by a person before it appears. An email address is required and is confirmed: we send a link to it, and a review does not reach us until the author opens that link, so a review has a sender who was reachable at least once rather than being anonymous. Where what somebody writes needs backing, we ask them for evidence that they used the product, and a review that does not get it is not published. We publish positive and negative reviews alike, we pay nothing and offer nothing for a review, and we accept none that was bought or incentivised.

What we cannot do is verify a purchase. There is no shop here and no account, so whether the author really used the tool rests on their own declaration, on whatever we ask them for, and on the plausibility of what they write. We say so rather than implying a check that does not exist.

A vendor cannot buy a review, and cannot have one removed or changed because they dislike it. We remove or edit a review only if it breaks our rules or the law, for example a false statement of fact. Paid placement has no effect on which reviews appear or on any score.

Did the vendor invite you to write this review?

Either answer is fine, and an invited review is not rejected for it. We need the answer on the record.

The overall score is the average of the six ratings above. Nothing is weighted, and a paid placement does not change a single one of them.
