Overview

Khoros sells two AI-native products on a shared intelligence layer. Iris AI is the social media management side: campaign planning, scheduling across the major networks, multi-level approvals, AI-assisted content creation, a unified inbox with queues and smart routing, and social listening across billions of sources in 187 languages. Aurora AI is the community side, with automated moderation, knowledge synthesis and community analytics. The enterprise governance is where the platform spends its detail: role-based access control, centralised audit logs, single sign-on and compliance policies, and Khoros publishes no price list.

Our take

Khoros suits an organisation where social and a branded customer community are the same programme rather than two teams, because the shared intelligence layer under both is the argument for buying them together, and buying only one of them gives most of that away. The governance depth is the other reason it appears on enterprise shortlists and the reason it is heavy for anyone smaller: audit logs, SSO and role-based permissions matter when hundreds of people touch the accounts and are overhead when five do. Budget for a sales-led evaluation, since nothing about the price is public.

Pros and Cons

Strengths

  • Social management and branded communities run on one shared intelligence layer
  • Listening covers billions of sources in 187 languages
  • Enterprise governance is built in: role-based access, centralised audit logs, SSO and compliance policies
  • Public developer portal documents APIs per product, including GraphQL for Aurora Communities
  • Multi-level approvals suit large teams where posts pass through several hands

Limitations

  • No published price and no public pricing page; every evaluation runs through sales
  • Aimed at enterprise scale, so the governance layer is overhead for a small team
  • Buying only the social side leaves the shared intelligence layer with the communities half unused

Pricing

  • Enterprise

How we check reviews

Reviews are not published yet. The form on a tool's page works and reaches us, but nothing from it appears on this site, so no score here is based on a review. The rules below are the ones that will apply once reviews go live.

Every review is read by a person before it appears. We require a working email address and use it to come back to the author, so a review has a reachable sender rather than being anonymous. We publish positive and negative reviews alike, we pay nothing and offer nothing for a review, and we accept none that was bought or incentivised.

What we cannot do is verify a purchase. There is no shop here and no account, so whether the author really used the tool rests on what they tell us, plus the plausibility of what they write. We say so rather than implying a check that does not exist.

A vendor cannot have a review removed, cannot buy one, and cannot have one changed. Paid placement and a paid listing have no effect on which reviews appear or on any score.

The overall score is the average of the six ratings above. Nothing is weighted, and a paid placement does not change a single one of them.
