Lexware Office suits German freelancers and small businesses that want the whole chain in one place and their tax adviser working on the same data. The version ladder is the thing to check before signing up, because the version that actually covers a business is usually two steps above the entry price, and payroll is charged on top of whichever one you pick. If the tax adviser does not work in DATEV, much of the argument falls away and a cheaper invoicing tool will do instead. Against a general European cloud suite this is the local choice, and that is precisely why it will not travel.
