Overview
MOCO is a Swiss cloud system for agencies, consultancies and IT service providers, run by everii Switzerland GmbH and used by around 7,000 companies of one to 300 people, that follows a job from the lead and the quote through to the posted invoice. A project is set up as time and materials, fixed fee, retainer, hourly retainer, subscription or pitch work, and carries a budget that can be grouped across a year or a retainer. Time is entered by stopwatch, by voice, from calendar entries and planned projects, or on mobile, with optional attendance recording, and hours are adjusted to what is billable before they reach an invoice. Billing produces interim, final and consolidated invoices, subscription runs, staged reminders and e-invoices for business and public-sector clients, and reconciles incoming payments automatically. Around that sit capacity planning, an inbox that reads incoming receipts and invoices, personnel records with holiday, absence and time accounts, and exports to accounting. The service is hosted on managed servers in a Basel data centre under Swiss data protection law, and sold per user and month in three plans.
Best for small and mid-sized agencies, consultancies and IT service providers that want quoting, time tracking and invoicing in one focused tool.
MOCO is the pragmatic choice for a services firm that wants its administration to stay light: entry is quick enough that people keep it current, and that is what makes the utilisation and margin figures worth reading at all. The narrowness is deliberate, so the questions to ask are about the edges. Sales is handled as leads and quotes rather than as a full CRM, and there is no stock, manufacturing or general ledger, which is the line at which a proper ERP takes over. Swiss hosting under Swiss data protection law is the deciding argument for many firms in the German-speaking market and an obstacle for anyone who needs data in another jurisdiction. There is no seat minimum, so it works from a handful of people upward, but read the plan table before pricing it, because capacity planning and incoming invoices sit above the entry tier.
