Overview
Pennylane is a French finance platform that joins a company's finances, its bookkeeping and a business account in one place, and is built to be shared with the accounting firm rather than exported to it. On the sales side it handles quotes with e-signature, invoices and subscriptions, and it supports the electronic invoicing required in France from September 2026. On the purchase side it centralises supplier invoices, runs approval workflows and pays suppliers from the platform. The Premium plan adds the accounting module, and plans are per user.
Our take
Pennylane is for French companies that would sooner work in the same place as their accounting firm than send it files once a month, and the plan ladder follows that idea: the collaborative plan costs nothing when the firm brings you in, and the price only starts once you want the business account, the automations and eventually the ledger yourself. Choosing a plan is mostly about where the API and the accounting module sit, since those are the two steps that jump the price. The e-invoicing mandate makes it timely, and it is also the reason to weigh it carefully: the whole platform is shaped around French rules and a French business account, so a company outside France should pick a general European suite instead.

How we check reviews
Reviews are not published yet. The form on a tool's page works and reaches us, but nothing from it appears on this site, so no score here is based on a review. The rules below are the ones that will apply once reviews go live.
Every review is read by a person before it appears. We require a working email address and use it to come back to the author, so a review has a reachable sender rather than being anonymous. We publish positive and negative reviews alike, we pay nothing and offer nothing for a review, and we accept none that was bought or incentivised.
What we cannot do is verify a purchase. There is no shop here and no account, so whether the author really used the tool rests on what they tell us, plus the plausibility of what they write. We say so rather than implying a check that does not exist.
A vendor cannot have a review removed, cannot buy one, and cannot have one changed. Paid placement and a paid listing have no effect on which reviews appear or on any score.
